Overview

Paradise Dynasty at SM Aura offers a genuine Shanghainese dining experience right in the heart of Taguig’s bustling Metro Manila. Located on Level 2 of SM Aura, this restaurant has quickly become a favored spot for those who appreciate authentic flavors paired with inviting surroundings. The ambiance strikes a balance between elegant and cozy, making it suitable for family gatherings, casual meals, and even small celebrations.

The centerpiece of the menu is undoubtedly their Xiao Long Bao. Their signature Original and Crab Roe varieties stand out with delicate thin skins that encase a flavorful broth, delivering that satisfying burst with every bite. These soup dumplings rival classic establishments, boasting a generous size and precise craftsmanship that showcase the chef’s dedication. While the pork Xiao Long Bao received mixed feedback, the garlic and crab versions consistently impress, highlighting the range of flavors the kitchen brings to the table.

Beyond the famed dumplings, the restaurant excels in rice and noodle dishes that showcase traditional Shanghai techniques with a modern twist. The Shanghai-style fried rice is notable for its savory depth and balance, quickly becoming a favorite among patrons. For noodle lovers, the la mian options like the vegetable pork wonton in signature pork bone soup provide comforting heat and texture, even if some variants, like the Szechuan hot and sour soup, may polarize due to their intensity. Stir-fried dishes such as the French beans with minced pork offer refreshing contrast and complement the heavier mains well.

Dimsum options add variety with pan-fried pork dumplings and steamed vegetable buns, all crafted with care to maintain authenticity. For those craving a sweet finish, desserts like the Red Bean Glutinous Rice Roll and Black Sesame Glutinous Rice Balls provide a soft, subtly sweet sensation that rounds out the meal gracefully.

Customer reviews emphasize the restaurant’s value, noting large portion sizes that rival even well-known competitors. While some mention the seating arrangement as a bit close, the attentive and friendly service consistently elevates the overall dining experience. Families with children will appreciate thoughtful touches such as coloring materials and the option for smaller plates and cutlery.

Paradise Dynasty SM Aura targets diners who seek authentic Shanghainese flavors without the pretense or excessive pricing. It’s an accessible choice for food enthusiasts eager to explore a variety of soup dumplings and classic Shanghai dishes within a chic yet comfortable setting. Whether you’re a seasoned fan of Chinese cuisine or a newcomer wanting to delve into traditional staples, this restaurant offers a memorable culinary journey fueled by passion and skill.

You can't really judge a book by it's cover. We thought that this place was so expensive because of their decors and all, and boy, we were wrong. They're not that expensive. Heck, they're almost the same pricing with NorthPark and Din Tai Fung. The garlic and crab xiao long bao are so good Black custard bun was yummy HARD SKIP on pork xiao long bao, la mien with pork wanton and prawns in salted egg yolk because it was so average Fried rice in shanghai style was my favorite Sweet and sour pork was good too Dynasty ceispy chicken was fine but I didn't like it because it was so oily Lettuce rolls was refreshing Tables are too close to each other, you might hear the other tables conversation. Service is good so far. They offer small plate & cutlery and coloring materials for the little ones

Very worth it for the price because the food is flavorful and delicious as well as they have big serving of food compared to Din Tai Fung! The service is also great as the servers are all attentive to the customers dining in. Also, when you have a take out food they would place it in a microwavable container without any additional charge. Highly recommended restaurant!

Food is quite big portion for me. The mushroom noodle is salty but the noodle is good. XLB better size than current Din Tai Fung. I like stir fried bean and mince pork. Very good when eat with fried rice.

Great Xiaolongbao for a cheap price! We ate there for lunch and to satisfy our cravings for soup dumplings. We were seated immediately and even if we were only two, the staff sat us down to a four top. We were served hot tea and we were asked if we want hot or cold water. We ordered their signature xiao long bao and the crab roe xiao long bao. For the soup, we ordered the seafood hot and sour soup. We ordered sweet and sour pork for our mains and the la mian with vegetable and pork wanton in signature pork bone soup. Their xialongbaos were exceptional. Their signature flavor were bursting of flavors. The crab roe taste were perfect and the soy ginger sauce balanced out the salty fishy taste. The seafood hot and sour soup was spicy and it hits the spot for a good chinese soup. The sweet and sour pork was too big for a bite sized cuts nonetheless, it was crispy and tender on the inside. The noodle was a let down, underwhelming as it was bland. I now know why there is no chef's recommendation for the la mian/noodle part of the menu. We ordered another xiao long bao, the garlic flavor since we wanted to get past the let down for the noodle we ordered. However, it took time before we got our order and the server punched a different order cause us to wait more than anticipated. We will be back again, however, only for their xiao long baos.

Quick summary: must try soup dumplings served in a lovely dining space by wonderful staff. If you're a fan of Din Tai Fung I highly recommend trying this place! The main similarity is the pork soup dumplings. You can also watch the chefs work diligently to fold each dumpling. However the rest of the menu is very different. If you're looking to try a new take on soup dumplings definitely try the sampler to learn your favorite. Personally I loved the original and the truffle! All the others were good as well. The pork and shrimp wontons in chicken broth were fantastic and I highly recommend those also. Our server verified our order before sending it in. The staff worked well together in all aspects! The decor is very nice as well. This was my first time dining at this restaurant and I will absolutely be back!

Highly recommended. This resto is like a better version of Din Tai Fung. Most menu items are similar but with larger serving portions and more noodle choices. The La Mian noodles in pork bone soup was the biggest surprise, the broth was like that of tonkotsu ramen, and it was delicious, and the serving was bigger than expected. The fried rice was good and so was the Signature xiao long bao Dynasty (all flavors were good but it can do without the kimchi flavored one). Mantou was also good. Service was quick and attentive, esp for a weekend.

Food was pretty good but on the expensive side. I loved the xiao long bao platter with 8 different flavors. It has a suggestion for what order you should eat it. Everything is pretty good, I was very surprised at the foie gras one -definitely my favorite. We also got the charcoal custard lava bun, kung pao shrimp, poached chicken, fried rice, and la mian w pork belly. I am very satisfied with everything. Portions are good. However, we were served cold poached chicken and I wasn’t able to confirm if it was supposed to be cold. Overall, a good experience. Will definitely be back!
